Junior Backend Software Engineer

We are seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to become a part of one of our cross-functional product squads. Your main responsibility will be collaborating with seasoned engineers to develop and uphold backend services and data-driven applications. This role emphasizes hands-on development to enhance your skills within a collaborative, GenAI-driven engineering environment. Your core responsibilities will include developing and sustaining scalable backend services utilizing C# (.NET Core) and Python, working closely with front-end developers and team members to integrate APIs and provide comprehensive solutions, writing clean and maintainable code for internal APIs and tools, engaging in agile ceremonies like stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint planning, utilizing GenAI tools for code generation, test writing, and productivity enhancement, collaborating with cross-functional teams to comprehend and meet product requirements, documenting software components clearly to contribute to shared knowledge, maintaining a learning mindset to seek feedback for enhancing engineering skills, fostering an inclusive and collaborative team culture, taking initiative and being receptive to new technologies and techniques. Key Technical Skills required are at least 1+ years of proficiency in C# and .NET Core for backend development, hands-on experience of 1+ years with Python, and familiarity or hands-on exposure to AI agentic tools like Langchain, Claude, Hugging Face, CursorAI. It would be beneficial to have familiarity with microservices architecture, experience with MongoDB or similar database technologies, previous exposure to the Fintech industry or regulated domains, and an understanding of DevOps or CI/CD practices. Non-Technical Skills include a solid grasp of Agile methodologies and background in working within a cross-functional team, strong communication skills with a proactive and team-oriented mindset, a willingness to learn, ask questions, and contribute innovative ideas.
