As a Backend Developer at Cequence Security, your role involves designing, developing, and maintaining critical backend components of our security products. You will play a key part in architecting, designing, and implementing new product features from inception to final execution, including working on backend services, data pipelines, and network components. Collaboration with Architects, Engineers, Data Scientists, and Security experts will be essential as you tackle challenging problems and bring new features to life. Your responsibilities will include: - Overseeing projects from ideation to completion. - Designing server-side architecture enhancements for existing backend services. - Developing new services in alignment with the overall architecture. - Creating and implementing backend RESTful services and APIs. - Enhancing data pipelines for increased throughput and scalability. - Improving the high throughput data plane for our products. - Operating within an Agile framework to coordinate tasks and engage with team members. - Participating in a Test-Driven Development environment to produce reliable, well-documented code. Requirements for this role: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related fields. - Proficiency in JVM languages like Java, Kotlin & Scala. - Familiarity with big data tools such as Elasticsearch and Apache Kafka. - Experience with high-throughput networking components like proxies, firewalls, etc. - Background in network and/or application security domains is advantageous. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. - Sound understanding of data structures, system design, and algorithms. - Exposure to Cloud services like AWS EC2, EMR, EKS, etc., is a bonus. - Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is desirable for this role.,
