Junior Application Scientist

As a Junior Application Scientist at Advent Informatics Pvt Ltd, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support and making product presentations to customers interested in our software offerings. Your responsibilities will include: - Online/onsite presentation (and demonstration) of our CADD/Molecular Modelling/Cheminformatics/Scientific Data Management software suite. - Providing technical and scientific support to both existing and prospective clients. - Publishing scientific papers and participating in conferences and seminars. - Training clients on the software to ensure they derive the best value. - Supporting installation and troubleshooting for clients and evaluators. - Developing KNIME/Python Scripts workflows tailored to client requirements. - Having a good understanding of the Linux OS. Desired Skills & Experience: - PhD in Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or related field with expertise in using molecular modelling software. Alternatively, a Masters degree in a relevant domain with 4-5 years of industry experience in in-silico drug design is preferred. - Comprehensive knowledge of the drug-discovery process and proficiency in handling software related to molecular modelling/CADD. - Familiarity with Linux OS and Molsoft tools would be advantageous. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with exceptional time-management abilities. - Willingness to travel within India (50%-60% travel) and potentially outside India. - Desire and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented high-growth environment. - A passion for publishing scientific papers.
