Advent Informatics, distributor of Computational Drug Discovery and life sciences software solutions and services in India, is seeking talented and motivated individuals to join our team as an Application Scientist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and delivering product presentations to our pharma, biotech, and academic customers who are interested in our software offerings. Your key responsibilities will include conducting online and onsite presentations and demonstrations of our CADD/Molecular Modelling/Chemoinformatics/Scientific Data Management software suite. You will also offer technical and scientific support to both existing and potential clients, publish scientific papers, and engage in conferences and seminars. Additionally, you will facilitate client training to ensure they derive maximum value from the software, assist in installation and troubleshooting processes, and develop KNIME/Python Scripts workflows based on client requirements. Collaboration with academic users on joint projects and creating technical content in partnership with Marketing will also be part of your duties. The ideal candidate should possess a Masters or PhD in Computational Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field, along with expertise in molecular modeling software. Experience of 3-4 years in the industry or a track record of published papers in academia related to in-silico Drug Discovery is highly desirable. Proficiency in Python programming and KNIME is considered an advantage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, exceptional time-management abilities, and a willingness to travel within India and potentially abroad are essential.
