Responsibilities

• Research and pitch timely and relevant story ideas related to politics, society, culture, or current events.
• Create short-form video content (Reels, YouTube Shorts) with clear narration, presence, and delivery.
• Present and report on-camera, or via voice-over, for our digital news segments.
• Collaborate with editors, content strategists, and graphic designers to produce publish-ready content.
• Ensure all content is fact-checked, unbiased, and follows journalistic ethics.
• Adapt and revise scripts or segments based on editorial feedback.
• Monitor news trends and audience engagement to guide content planning.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in

  Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies

  , or a related field.
• Strong interest in news, current affairs, and social impact storytelling.
• Confident verbal communication and on-camera presence (or willingness to develop it).
• Excellent command of spoken and written English.
• Basic understanding of digital media platforms and audience behavior (Instagram, YouTube, etc.)
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a remote setup.
• Familiarity with basic video recording tools or editing software is a plus.
