Journal Coordinator-Open Access

You should have proficient typing skills with a minimum speed of 36-40 WPM and 90% accuracy. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining the database of articles received by the review department, detecting and correcting errors in written documents, and ensuring the accuracy of written text before publication. Additionally, you will be required to handle reviewer comments, develop and maintain relationships with journal stakeholders, and make copies of proofs for editors, authors, and other stakeholders. It is essential to possess a good command of English, reading, and understanding skills, along with knowledge of the publication process and systems. You should be adept at handling queries from individuals of different nationalities and fields, have experience in client/customer responses, and possess basic presentation skills. Furthermore, you must be familiar with indexing, archiving, and search engine sites related to scientific publications, as well as have the ability to collect authors" bios and manage information systems efficiently. In this role, you will be responsible for screening and forwarding submissions to the review department, generating manuscript numbers, contacting scholars for article reviews, and ensuring timely processing of articles for publication. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for maintaining a positive reputation with journal stakeholders and collaborating with universities and institutions worldwide. Candidates with a professional post-graduate degree in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or related fields are preferred. Key skills required include excellent English language proficiency, the ability to identify inconsistencies, and spotting poorly written articles.
