Job Title: Injection Moulding Engineer Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Injection Moulding Engineer with a strong background in medical devices and a focus on ISO-13485 standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with injection moulding processes, mould validations, and the creation of SOPs. This role is critical in ensuring the successful production and quality of medical device components. Key Responsibilities: Injection Moulding Expertise: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to injection moulding machines, moulds, and product quality. Conduct process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency in the injection moulding operations. Medical Device Knowledge (ISO-13485): Ensure that all processes and products comply with the ISO-13485 standards for medical devices. Maintain a strong understanding of medical device regulations and implement necessary changes to comply with these standards. Work closely with quality and regulatory teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and customer requirements. Mould Validation: Perform mould validation and qualification to ensure the moulding process produces quality parts consistently. Conduct mould trials and evaluate results to make necessary adjustments to ensure product specifications are met. SOP Creation and Documentation: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the injection moulding process, mould validation, and troubleshooting. Ensure that all SOPs are in compliance with ISO-13485 and other regulatory requirements. Update documentation and processes as needed based on evolving best practices or changes in regulatory standards. Continuous Improvement: Lead efforts in process optimization and continuous improvement to reduce cycle times, enhance product quality, and decrease scrap rates. Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Qualifications: Educational Background: Post Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing Technology (PGD-PPT) from CIPET (Central Institute of Plastics Engineering and Technology). Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of experience in injection moulding engineering, with a strong focus on medical devices. Proven experience with ISO-13485 standards and quality assurance processes in a medical device manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience with injection moulding machine setups, process optimization, and troubleshooting. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of injection moulding processes and medical device components. Strong understanding of material properties, moulding parameters, and their impact on part quality. Proficiency in mould validation and qualifications. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Good communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle complex documentation.
