Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning and optimization techniques (e.g., query optimization, indexing).
Ensuring data integrity and security through backups, recovery, encryption, and access control.
Implementing and managing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions (e.g., Always on Availability Groups, geo-replication, failover groups).
Troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues, including performance, connectivity, and integrity problems.
Managing SQL Server Agent jobs and automation tasks.
Azure Cloud Management:
Designing, implementing, and managing Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and other Azure data services.
Configuring and monitoring Azure resources (e.g., VMs, storage, networking) related to database solutions.
Implementing and managing Azure-specific HA/DR strategies for cloud databases.
Estimating and managing Azure resource costs.
Migrating on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure.
Development & Collaboration:
Developing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and other database objects.
Collaborating with application developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure database solutions meet business requirements.
Assisting with application deployment and troubleshooting in various environments.
Maintaining documentation for database configurations, procedures, and solutions.
