Job Opening For Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

New Product Development

• Lead mechanical design activities for new product concepts and prototypes.
  
• Transform customer requirements and functional needs into robust engineering solutions.
  
• Develop 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed engineering documentation.
  

Design & Engineering

• Perform engineering calculations (tolerances, stress analysis, material selection, thermal considerations, etc.).
  
• Ensure designs meet performance, reliability, manufacturability, cost, and regulatory requirements.
  
• Optimize design for assembly (DFA), manufacturing (DFM), and cost (VA/VE).
  

Collaboration

• Work closely with electrical, electronics, software, and manufacturing engineers to deliver integrated product solutions.
  
• Collaborate with quality, sourcing, and production teams to ensure seamless transfer from design to manufacturing.
  
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments (FMEA), and project planning activities.
  

Documentation & Standards

• Create and maintain BOMs, engineering change notices (ECNs), technical reports, and product specifications.
  
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality processes.
  

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  
• 2–7 years of experience in mechanical design or product development (depending on role level).
  
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, Inventor, or similar).
  
• Good understanding of materials, manufacturing processes and GD&T.
  
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and basic simulation interpretation (FEA, CFD helpful).
  
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  

Preferred

• Experience with product development in

  manufacturing

  or

  industrial/consumer products

  .
• Knowledge of tolerance stack-ups, FMEA, DFM/DFA principles.
  
• Familiarity with PLM/PDM tools (Windchill, Teamcenter, etc.).
  
• Experience working with suppliers and manufacturing facilities.
