Job Summary:

SAP FICO Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact for SAP FICO-related topics across Finance and Controlling functions.
• Analyze business requirements and design cost-effective SAP FICO solutions aligned with manufacturing operations.
• Configure and maintain SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting) and CO (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA).
• Ensure proper integration with other modules: MM (Material Management), PP (Production Planning), and SD (Sales & Distribution).
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Costing, and Plant teams to align SAP processes with business needs.
• Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and SAP S/4HANA migration projects (if applicable).
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and day-to-day support for financial and cost-related processes.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and ensure data integrity in SAP.
• Work with auditors and compliance teams to ensure system processes meet regulatory requirements.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues within the FICO domain.
• Lead or support internal improvement initiatives such as automation, analytics, or plant-level cost optimization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Min. of 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO, with specific exposure to manufacturing environments.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting, cost controlling, and manufacturing finance processes (standard costing, actual costing, overheads).
• Experience with integration to MM, PP, and SD modules in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong business process knowledge in procure-to-pay (P2P), order-to-cash (O2C), and record-to-report (R2R).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP Certification in FICO.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA (Finance or Controlling).
• Exposure to Indian/local statutory compliance (e.g., GST, TDS, etc.) if applicable.
• Experience in internal SAP audit support or SOX compliance.
• Familiarity with manufacturing costing practices such as BOM cost roll-ups, process costing, and variance analysis.

Work Environment:

• On-site at the CO Hyderabad
• Occasional travel to plant locations may be required.
