Job Description

Job Title:

JIRA Specialist

JIRA project clean-up
and restructuring
Workflow optimization
Agile implementation (both
Scrum
and
Kanban
frameworks)
Board configuration and permission management
Enhancing and streamlining Agile ceremonies (e.g., standups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Setting up and configuring the JIRA instance including hardware and software requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and manage the Atlassian JIRA environment across multiple teams and projects
Conduct JIRA project clean-ups, archive unused data, and ensure project structures follow best practices
Design, develop, and maintain custom workflows, fields, and dashboards
Implement and optimize Scrum and Kanban boards to support Agile teams
Provide user support and training on Agile best practices and JIRA usage
Manage permissions, user roles, and access rights in JIRA
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and provide JIRA solutions
Ensure JIRA performance, stability, and compliance with security standards

Mandatory Skills:

JIRA Administration
(minimum 6 years of hands-on experience)
Agile project methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Experience with configuring custom workflows and issue types
Strong understanding of JIRA’s underlying architecture and hardware/software configuration

Good to Have:

Experience with other Atlassian tools like
Confluence
,
Bitbucket
, or
Bamboo
Scripting and automation using
ScriptRunner
,
Groovy
, or REST APIs
Knowledge of SAFe Agile framework
