You will play a crucial role as a Merchandising Designer / Jewellery Designer where your primary focus will be on conceptualizing and developing jewellery collections that resonate with our brand's identity, market trends, and business objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing the entire design process from inception to retail, ensuring a seamless transition from concept to product availability. Your creative input will be pivotal as you conceptualize and sketch distinctive jewellery designs spanning various categories such as rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. By staying abreast of global trends, themes, and materials, you will create mood boards and seasonal collections that captivate our target audience. Collaborating with CAD designers, you will translate your innovative concepts into CADs and technical drawings, ensuring that the design elements align harmoniously with our brand's image. In the realm of merchandising, you will be tasked with strategizing and executing jewellery collections based on sales performance, market demands, and the seasonal calendar. Your close collaboration with production, sourcing, and marketing teams will be essential in guaranteeing the timely launch of collections. You will curate product assortments that strike a balance between hero products, fast-moving items, and experimental pieces. Furthermore, maintaining an updated design library with SKU-level information, pricing details, and material specifications will be part of your routine tasks. To excel in this role, you should possess a degree or diploma in Jewellery Design, Accessory Design, Fashion Design, or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in the domain of jewellery design or merchandising, encompassing fine, semi-precious, or fashion jewellery. Proficiency in design software such as CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, Rhino, Matrix, or similar tools is crucial. Your keen aesthetic sensibility, understanding of form, detailing, and wearability, along with knowledge of gemstones, metals, karigari techniques, and jewellery manufacturing processes will be highly valued. Strong organizational and documentation skills are essential attributes for this role. Desirable qualities include a commercial acumen, a genuine passion for jewellery, and the ability to narrate compelling stories through design. Your aptitude for collaboration and experience in cross-functional teamwork will be advantageous in this dynamic, trend-focused environment.
