Job Description

We are seeking a Techno-Functional JD Edwards (JDE) Consultant with strong expertise in Finance and Controlling. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional knowledge and the ability to work closely with operational teams, data engineers, and business leaders to extract, interpret, and transform source system data into target platforms. This role requires acting as a key link between business, technology, and data teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and meaningful financial and operational reporting.

Core Responsibilities

Data & System Expertise

Understand JD Edwards system architecture to identify relevant tables, fields, business rules, and master data needed for downstream reporting and transformation.
Ability to interpret business requirements (e.g., P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, variance analysis, costing, inventory optimization) and map relevant data elements to create similar reporting outside the JDE system.
Collaborate with data engineers to convert business requirements into target data models, mapping logic, and transformation rules.
Validate end-to-end data flow from JDE to target systems, ensuring integrity, completeness, and consistency.
Demonstrate exposure to operational KPIs, financial dependencies, and calculation logic.

Functional & Technical Capability

Strong functional expertise across JDE Finance, Sales & Distribution, Procurement, and Manufacturing modules.
Role composition:
60% Functional / 40% Technical
(table structures, mapping logic, configuration, testing, and validation).

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Engagement

Work with Finance, Operations, Data, and senior leadership teams to align systems and reporting with business needs and objectives.
Translate complex technical and financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Lead discussions related to data accuracy, financial impact, controls, and business rule alignment.

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with JD Edwards (version 9.0+ preferred) across Finance and core operational modules.
Strong understanding of JDE underlying database structure and data storage methodology.
Solid understanding of ERP data flows, financial controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
Demonstrated experience leading data transformation, mapping design, and system integration.
Strong influencing skills with the ability to present and drive decisions confidently.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to Oracle Fusion or other modern ERP platforms (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience working on business transformation initiatives (e.g., modernization, M&A, digital finance, or large-scale data migration).
