About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement workflow automation using JBPM, ensuring scalable and maintainable orchestration of business processes.
• Develop and integrate Java-based solutions for modernization, new application development, and system interoperability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, focusing on performance optimization and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and architects to deliver robust solutions.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support migration efforts from legacy BPM systems or monolithic architectures to modern, microservices-based platforms.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, security protocols, and industry best practices.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including CI/CD pipeline enhancements and process automation.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) for deploying JBPM workflows.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and service orchestration in distributed systems.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for hosting JBPM solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of strong software development experience, with a focus on enterprise-grade applications.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in JBPM for workflow automation, orchestration, and business process modeling.
• 2+ years of experience in Java technologies, including Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Proficient in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL and Oracle, with experience in writing complex queries and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with SDLC methodologies, including Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
• Experience using GitHub Copilot or similar AI coding assistants, with the ability to craft effective prompts for enhanced productivity.
• Exposure to RESTful APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying JBPM-based solutions.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
