Java Developer with Guidewire InsuranceNow (INow), Home, and Auto experience

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Development & Configuration:

  Develop, configure, and enhance UI components, business rules, and underwriting logic within the InsuranceNow application using Java, JavaScript, and related web technologies.

• Domain Specific Logic:

  Implement and maintain logic specific to Homeowners and Auto insurance products, including coverages, pricing, tasks, and workflows.

• Integration:

  Design and implement integrations with internal and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs and messaging technologies.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Perform bug fixes, troubleshoot complex issues using log files and debugging tools, and provide technical support for production environments.

• Collaboration:

  Work with business analysts, QA teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, validate solutions, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

• Cloud Environment:

  Work within a cloud-native environment, leveraging knowledge of AWS services (S3, Lambda) and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Proven experience (5+ years) in software development or configuring packaged applications, with hands-on experience using the

  Guidewire InsuranceNow

  platform.

• Programming Languages:

  Strong proficiency in

  Java

  and experience with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and potentially frameworks like React or Spring Boot.

• Platform Knowledge:

  Deep understanding of the InsuranceNow data model (bean structures) and configuration capabilities.

• Domain Knowledge:

  Solid grasp of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance business processes, especially the lifecycle of

  Home

  and

  Auto

  policies and claims.

• Technical Skills:

  Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL), version control (Git), and an understanding of cloud services (AWS).

• Methodologies:

  Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
