Java Lead

Role Overview: As an Applications Development Senior Manager at our company, you will be responsible for managing a team to establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. Your main objective will be to drive applications systems analysis and programming activities. Key Responsibilities: - Manage one or more Applications Development teams to achieve established goals and handle personnel duties such as performance evaluations, hiring, and disciplinary actions - Utilize your in-depth knowledge and skills across multiple Applications Development areas to provide technical oversight across systems and applications - Review and analyze proposed technical solutions for projects and contribute to the formulation of strategies for applications development and other functional areas - Develop a comprehensive understanding of how different areas of business integrate to achieve business goals - Provide evaluative judgment in complicated and unique situations based on analysis of factual data - Impact the Applications Development area through monitoring delivery of end results, participation in budget management, and handling day-to-day staff management issues - Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards while negotiating with external parties when necessary - Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding the firm's reputation, clients, and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations Qualifications: - 9-12 years of experience - Hands-on Java developer with the ability to code according to standards to deliver both tech and business goals - Resolve high-impact problems/projects by evaluating complex business & system processes and industry standards - Provide expertise in Java development, ensuring application design adheres to architecture blueprint - Utilize advanced knowledge of system flow to develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business like architecture and infrastructure integrate to accomplish business goals - Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions - Good knowledge of J2EE/Spring boot/Oracle/Middleware service and Microservices, with excellent coding skillset Additional Details: - The role will focus not only on new, greenfield projects but will also emphasize established, older technology to support automation in migrating to strategic platforms - Education: Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience, Masters degree preferred Note: The company's EEO Policy Statement and accessibility information can be reviewed for further details.
