About the Role:

Iris Software, a trusted technology partner to Fortune 500 clients, is looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about backend development, application design, and contributing to enterprise-grade financial systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend and full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• Work on API development, multithreading, and application performance optimization.
• Leverage Angular (v8 or higher) for UI components and front-end integration.
• Implement and manage message queues for event-driven architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and secure solutions.
• Take complete ownership of modules, including testing, monitoring, deployment, and code quality.
• Utilize tools and technologies such as Oracle, OCP, UNIX, MQ, and ELK for application monitoring and support.
• Knowledge of sanctions compliance systems is a plus.
• Apply best practices in software engineering, from design patterns to automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Embrace Agile methodologies and actively participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java (preferably Java 8+)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices-based architectures
• Solid experience with Angular (version 8 or above preferred)
• Strong understanding of Multithreading and Message Queue (MQ) concepts
• Exposure to UNIX-based environments
• Experience with Oracle databases and writing efficient SQL queries
• Familiarity with APIs, ELK stack, and monitoring tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in banking/financial services projects
• Knowledge of OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) is an added advantage
• Understanding of sanctions and compliance systems

Education:

• UG: Any Graduate (B.Tech/B.E. preferred)
