Front End Developer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant UI components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include active participation in the design of their UI components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose and maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments. This engineer will provide thought leadership with new technologies and nimble mindset. Participating in innovative design and proof of concepts with emerging technologies and solutions Embrace industry best practices like continuous integration, continuous deployment, automated testing, TDD etc. Follows agreed upon SDLC procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet:both explicit and implicit quality standards, end-user functional requirements, architectural standards, performance requirements, audit requirements, security rules are upheld, and external facing reporting is properly represented. Writes unit and integration tests based on chosen DevOps frameworks. Performs application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvements. Assists Production Support by providing advice on system functionality and fixes as required Assist with departmental and new employee training Your skills and experience: 8+ years of overall software development experience Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent Masters in CS preferred Proficiency in developing object-oriented software applications, with deep experience in Java, React based enterprise platforms 8+ years of experience in JavaScript skills 8+ years of experience in React ecosystem based application development Hands-on HTML5/CSS3 experience Experience of working with websockets, HTTP 1.1 and HTTP/2 Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON RPC Ability to write clean, bug-free code that is easy to understand and easily maintainable Experience with BDD methodologies & automated acceptance testing Savvy with SQL and database concepts Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT/Bit bucket using maven. Knowledge of Kafka, Ksql Prior experience working in a CI/CD environment with TeamCity/Jenkins. Exposure in Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift for the microservices environment. Experience working in an agile team, practicing Scrum, Kanban or XP Exposure to Cloud platforms like GCP/AWS/Azure. Strong desire to build, sense of ownership, urgency and drive.
