Job Description

Fujitsu Research of India is hiring energetic, enthusiastic, and passionate engineers to work on their engineering customer support team. The team supports Fujitsus SDN based network controller which manages large networks of L0, L1, L2 devices. FNC is headquartered in Richardson, TX, USA and has development centers in Chennai and Bangalore in India.

Your role:

As a software developer for the PSS team, you will contribute to resolving customer issues, preparing hot fixes, developing patch releases including feature development, testing/test automation. You will also be responsible for and collaborating with customer-faced support teams as well as business team interacting with customers.
As part of Fujitsu global development team, you will be working with and coordinating with engineering teams across globe and local partner staff.

You will be required to:

Analyze, reproduce, debug, and resolve issues reported by internal and/or external customers in a timely manner.
Provide guidance and work with local partner/contractor staff.
Work with engineering teams across globe. Occasional travel is required.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Should be able to move from one assignment to another quickly with little to no ramp up time.
Communicate status in a clear and concise manner.
Communicates and escalates issues in a timely manner.

What you bring to the Fujitsu:

Strong in Java programming
Experience with EMS/NMS development. Experience in Kubernetes, Docker, Cassandra, Kafka, Akka, ODL etc. is a plus.
Experience of working on Linux platforms is a must.
Experience in SONET/SDH/OTN/ROADM/Ethernet services. Experience with Open technologies like OROADM is a plus.
Should have experience of scripting/automation, Python is a plus.
Experience in YANG/ConfD/SDN/SNMP/Netconf/REST is a definite plus.
Experience with open-source tools/environment like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence
Should have strong analytical and debugging skills.
Should have 5+ years of software development experience in Java/EMS/NMS/Python
Good communication skills for regular interactions with internal and external teams
Exposure to sound software engineering practices/scrum is a plus.

Cassandra or MongoDB NoSQL or any SQL DB
