Senior Software Developer – Identity & Security Engineering

Role Overview

Join our Identity & Security Engineering team as a Senior Software Developer, where you'll design and build secure, scalable systems for authentication, authorization, and API protection. This high-impact role involves working across modern Java and Node.js stacks, contributing to both greenfield and existing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead development of secure, high-performance APIs and backend services using Spring Boot, Quarkus, and Node.js.
• Enhance core identity systems: JWT, token validation, password less and OTP flows.
• Prototype innovative solutions for API security, session management, and identity workflows.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams with product managers, architects, and engineers.
• Implement observability and security logging via AWS CloudWatch.
• Design secure architectures and ensure compliance with best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers on secure coding principles.
• Deploy and maintain AWS Lambda services using the Serverless Framework.
• Participate in threat modeling and promote secure development practices.
  

Tech Stack

• Languages: Java (8–21), JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL
• Frameworks: Spring Boot, Quarkus, Node.js
• Build Tools: Maven
• Cloud & Infra: AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch), Serverless Framework
• Database: PostgreSQL
• Security: JWT, OAuth2, OTP, password less auth, token introspection

Ideal Candidate

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong Java expertise with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Proven track record in secure API and authentication design.
• Deep understanding of security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, encryption).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and production monitoring.
• Agile/Scrum experience and strong communication skills.
  

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with password less, risk-based, or biometric authentication.
• Exposure to multi-factor auth, identity brokering, or enterprise IAM.
• Contributions to open-source or security research.
• Understanding of frontend security in SPAs using JWT/session cookies.
