Java Developer

As a Backend Engineer with a strong Product background, you will play a critical role in the design, planning, development, and deployment of software applications. You will be responsible for all aspects of development and help develop best practices for future development. You will work closely with Tech, Design, and Quality teams to build and launch the product. Responsibilities: - Code, develop, design, and architect features related to the existing application. - Own modules end to end and take pride in the work products you ship. - Design, implement, test, and maintain highly scalable, multi-tier, distributed server software applications. - Deliver across the entire app life cycle, including design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and support. - Work directly with developers and product managers to conceptualize, build, test, and release products. - Take responsibility for the performance and stability of all the applications and related infrastructure. - Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency. Qualifications: - Undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Engineering, preferably from IITs/Top RECs. - 3-7 years of experience at cutting-edge organizations or startups. - Expertise in Distributed System, Java/J2EE technology (Hands-on engineer with Java, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB, K8S, Backend) Request/Response workflow orchestration at Scale. - Proficiency in the implementation of algorithms and the use of advanced data structures to solve problems in computing. - Experience with e-business/e-commerce applications and business environments. - Any experience with internet companies or the travel industry will be a plus. - Good understanding of Java/J2EE and design patterns. - Strong knowledge of data structures and designing for performance, scalability, and availability. - Expertise in relational databases like MySQL or Postgres. - Knowledge in MongoDB and Web services. - Extensive use of Instruments and Shark to detect memory leaks and for performance optimization. - Good grasp of algorithms, memory management, and multithreaded programming. - Experience in writing Unit tests, Automation tests. - Exposure to Test Driven Development is a plus. - Great people skills. - Ability to fit in well within an informal startup environment and provide hands-on management.,
