Job Description

You will be part of Morgan Stanley Investment Management Technology (IMIT) team, which collaborates with the Investment Management business division to develop systems and integrate vendor products for global full life cycle business processing. Your responsibilities will include supporting Portfolio Analysis, Risk, Trading, Operations, and Sales & Marketing functions. Additionally, you will provide holistic support and quality assurance across applications used in the MSIM environment. Morgan Stanley is looking for an experienced full stack developer to join the Fixed Income Technology team. You will work as part of a global development team to design and develop a modern technology stack for digital platforms that enhance efficiencies for Investment Teams. As a backend developer, you will collaborate with the Business to create strategic solutions. **Must Have:** - Core Java / Spring Boot for backend technologies - Python / FAST / Flask API - Experience with Relational Databases **Good To Have:** - Frontend technologies like Angular / React - Knowledge of Linux, Cloud Stack, Docker, Kubernetes - Proficiency with Build tooling such as Jenkins / Gradle - Familiarity with Database technologies like NoSQL MongoDB / Snowflake **Your Responsibilities Will Include:** - Developing modern and modular applications with modern coding and testing standards - Active participation in agile ceremonies and driving towards team goals - Utilizing modern software development practices - Collaborating with a global team of technologists - Leading with ideas and innovation - Communicating and partnering with end users to design solutions **Competencies:** - At least 2 years of experience in developing enterprise JAVA Web applications - Ability to write unit, component, and integration tests - Proficiency in working with relational databases - Experience with microservices and distributed systems - Proficiency in Python - Basic understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments, focusing on Equities - Strong Computer Science fundamentals At Morgan Stanley, we are committed to delivering top-notch service and maintaining excellence.
