Java Backend Senior Engineer AVP

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Software Engineer to contribute to modern engineering practices and technology transformation within our teams. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-quality software solutions while adhering to best-in-class engineering standards. This includes trunk-based development, test automation, security practices, and modern ways of working. Your role will involve system design, hands-on coding, and problem-solving to deliver resilient, high-performing, and secure applications. Key responsibilities include developing clean, maintainable, and testable code following SOLID principles, ensuring high unit test coverage through TDD and BDD, contributing to hands-on coding and code reviews, and following trunk-based development practices to enable continuous integration and rapid delivery. To excel in this role, you must have strong hands-on experience with Java J2EE and Spring based technology stack, proficiency in SQL and database management, expertise in system design and microservices architecture, and familiarity with Kafka. Additionally, experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, secure coding, and modern cloud-native technologies like AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work in agile environments, and strong communication and collaboration skills are also required. Good-to-have skills include experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, performance tuning, observability, production monitoring, and Agile frameworks. The ideal candidate should have 8-11 years of relevant experience in software development, system analysis, and project management, with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
