Java AWS Engineer

Role Overview: As an experienced AWS Cloud Java developer, you will be responsible for implementing various AWS services such as EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, Route53, RDS, Dynamo DB, ELB/ALB/NLB, ECS, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and API Gateway. You should also have knowledge of EFS/S3 for File storage and Cognito for authorization. Your expertise in Containerization and AWS ECS/ECR will be essential for this role. Efficient inter-service communication through REST, gRPC, or messaging (SQS, Kafka) and writing Unit Test cases with JUNIT are part of your skill set. Additionally, you must adhere to security best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Rest API, JPA, Kubernetes, Messaging Systems, Tomcat/JBoss - Developing and maintaining microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud - Designing RESTful APIs with clear contracts and efficient data exchange - Ensuring cloud security and compliance with industry standards - Maintaining cloud infrastructure using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and implementing security best practices Qualifications Required: - 6+ years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud Java development - Expertise in implementing AWS services - Strong knowledge of Containerization and inter-service communication skills - Understanding of security best practices, knowledge on File storage and authorization - Experience in writing Unit Test cases - Familiarity with serverless approaches using AWS Lambda About Virtusa: Virtusa is a company that values teamwork, quality of life, and professional and personal development.
