The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role that involves participating in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in collaboration with the Technology team. Your main objective in this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. Responsibilities: - Conduct feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology, and model development - Establish and implement new or revised applications systems and programs to meet specific business needs - Monitor and control all phases of the development process including analysis, design, testing, and implementation - Provide user and operational support on applications to business users - Utilize specialty knowledge of applications development to analyze complex problems and provide evaluative judgment - Recommend and develop security measures in post-implementation analysis - Consult with users/clients and other technology groups, recommend advanced programming solutions - Ensure essential procedures are followed, define operating standards and processes - Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts - Operate with a limited level of direct supervision - Exercise independence of judgment and autonomy - Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to senior stakeholders and team members - Assess risk when making business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets Qualifications: - 6+ years of hands-on professional software development experience - Proficiency in programming in Java 8+, knowledge of Angular or React is a plus - Hands-on experience of building RESTful APIs using frameworks like Spring - Experience in databases like Oracle, SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB) - Experience in Cloud technologies such as Openshift Kubernetes, Messaging systems like MQ, Kafka - Experience in following design and clean code principles - Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies - Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines - Ability to independently work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience Please note that this job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed.
