IVF Counselor/Patient Coordinator

The IVF Counsellor provides psychological and emotional support to individuals and couples undergoing fertility treatment, including IVF and other Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART). The role involves facilitating decision-making, offering pre- and post-treatment counselling, and helping patients cope with the emotional challenges of infertility, loss, and third-party reproduction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide

  individual and couples counselling

  to patients before, during, and after IVF treatment.
• Offer support for

  emotional issues

  related to infertility, treatment stress, pregnancy loss, and failed IVF cycles.
• Conduct

  mandatory counselling sessions

  for third-party reproduction (e.g., donor sperm/egg, surrogacy).
• Assist patients in

  informed decision-making

  regarding treatment options, embryo storage, donation, and withdrawal.
• Maintain

  confidential and accurate documentation

  of counselling sessions and assessments.
• Collaborate with the

  multidisciplinary fertility team

  , including doctors, nurses, embryologists, and coordinators.
• Deliver

  crisis intervention

  support during emotionally difficult times (e.g., miscarriage, ethical dilemmas).
• Educate and support patients through

  written resources, workshops, or support groups

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Degree in

  Psychology, Counselling, Social Work

  , or related field (Master's preferred).
• Awareness of

  cultural, ethical, and legal issues

  in fertility treatment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
