IT Network and Security Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

• Provide timely and effective technical support for SaaS applications and Office 365 applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to desktops, laptops, projectors, network, and local printers.
• Assist users with network connectivity issues and ensure reliable internet access.
• Network and Security:
• Configure and maintain firewall settings to ensure VPN, email and network security across all sites and HO.
• Monitor network performance and implement necessary updates or changes to optimise network efficiency.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Need to contact the internet service provider if there is any issue with the internet on their end.
• Patch Management : Ensure all the applications and servers are patched with latest security updates.
• Proficiency in Intrusion Prevention and Detection.
• Strong knowledge of fundamental networking/distributed computing environment concepts including routing, switching, load balancing, VLANs, STP.
• Developing systems for specialized security requirements based on specific company needs. Optimizing systems to ensure the network is supportive and responsive. Presenting findings, reports and solutions to upper management.

Antivirus Management:

• Install, configure, and maintain antivirus software on all devices.
• Perform regular antivirus scans and ensure all systems are up-to-date with the latest virus definitions.
• Respond to and resolve antivirus-related incidents and alerts promptly.

Backup Management:

• Manage and maintain Veritas Backup solutions for all critical data.
• Ensure regular backups are performed and verify the integrity of backup data.
• Restore data as needed and troubleshoot any backup-related issues.

User Assistance:

• Assist users with the setup and configuration of their devices, including email, software installations, and system updates.
• Provide training and guidance to users on best practices for using IT systems and applications.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Prepare regular reports on IT support activities, network performance, and security incidents.

Site Management:

• Travel to different sites within Pune to provide on-site support as needed.
• Ensure IT infrastructure is consistent and reliable across all locations.
• Collaborate with site managers to address specific IT needs and challenges.
