About the Role

IT Manager

The ideal candidate will have a mix of hands-on technical skills, leadership capability, and the ability to communicate effectively with global and non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities

1. Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, including laptops, servers, network devices, and cloud-based systems across India and US offices.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and communication tools.
  • Set up and manage user accounts, workstations, and network servers.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system uptime and efficiency.
  • Manage IT asset inventory, software licenses, and hardware warranties.
  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers (e.g., Micromax, Dell) for support and upgrades.
  • Provide support during downtime and ensure quick restoration of systems.

2. Cybersecurity Management

  • Lead development and implementation of a

    cybersecurity workplan

    to minimize vulnerability and safeguard company and client data.
  • Draft, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies and protocols for staff, contractors, and clients.
  • Regularly update security policies based on internal and external changes in the threat landscape.
  • Manage ongoing cybersecurity training and phishing simulations (e.g., through KnowBe4 or similar platforms).
  • Monitor compliance with IT and cybersecurity policies and ensure enforcement.
  • Coordinate with service providers to ensure all company devices meet security requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits on systems, applications, and access controls.
  • Maintain data backup and disaster recovery plans.

3. User & Client Support

  • Act as the first point of contact for IT-related queries and troubleshooting across all teams.
  • Assist non-technical staff in resolving connectivity, email, VPN, and hardware/software issues.
  • Support

    staff onboarding/offboarding

    setting up systems, accounts, and secure access removal.
  • Create IT/cybersecurity orientation materials for new employees and clients.
  • Support client onboarding by ensuring secure remote access to client systems and data.
  • Develop protocols for secure offboarding of clients and staff.

4. IT Solutions & Architecture

  • Analyze current technologies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, security, and scalability.
  • Work closely with internal teams to document and monitor requirements for technology updates.
  • Design and propose solutions for system upgrades, cloud migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Lead IT improvement projects within time, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and recommend tools that enhance productivity and workflow.
  • Build and maintain internal technical documentation and IT policy manuals.

5. Governance, Policy, and Training

  • Act as a

    champion and ambassador

    for IT and cybersecurity policies across the organization.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, user guides, and awareness sessions for staff and clients.
  • Maintain an internal wiki or knowledge base for IT documentation and processes.
  • Ensure IT policies align with global data protection standards (GDPR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with leadership to balance security needs with work efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6–10 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system administration, or cybersecurity.
  • Proven experience with:
    • Network administration (LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, patch management)
    • Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure)
    • System security, intrusion detection, and data backup/recovery
    • Windows and Mac environments
  • Certifications such as

    MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, or ITIL

    are preferred.
  • Experience working with multinational or distributed teams is an advantage.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Resourceful, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
