IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer

As a Technology Infrastructure Specialist at our company, you will be responsible for a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of our network and computing infrastructure. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing technology needs analysis, planning, implementation, and support of the network and computing infrastructure plan, including budgeting and procurement. - Leading the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the network, administration, systems, and security teams. - Handling reprimands, terminations, and commendations for the network, systems, and security teams. - Supporting server, network, and desktop hardware, software, and applications. - Performing various network engineering tasks such as backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems, internet access, and office systems and applications support. - Rolling out hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources. - Planning and implementing migration to the cloud from on-premises. - Providing network, security, architectural design, engineering, implementation, sustainment, migration, technical refresh, and lifecycle services for the data center and cloud enterprise infrastructure. - Ensuring that all software and firmware on network hardware and systems hardware are maintained and up to date on vendor supportable code versions. - Advising on security policy and best practices, advocating for security during all implementations of current and future technologies. - Demonstrating understanding of security frameworks and how to implement them within an organization. - Having thorough knowledge of networking and routing protocols, as well as structured cabling. - Possessing expert knowledge of operating systems, including Windows, AIX, and Mac OS. - Identifying and evaluating new products/solutions. - Having knowledge and experience in IT service delivery, with ITIL certification preferred. - Experience in IT audit and implementing standards and methodologies.
