Job Description

As a technology professional, you will be responsible for conducting technology needs analysis, developing plans, implementing, and supporting the network and computing infrastructure plan. This includes budgeting and procurement activities to ensure efficient resource allocation. You will lead the implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the network, administration, systems, and security teams. In this role, you will be involved in managing team performance by overseeing reprimands, terminations, and commendations for the network, systems, and security teams. Additionally, you will provide support for server, network, and desktop hardware, software, and applications to ensure smooth operation of IT systems. Your tasks will also include performing various network engineering activities such as backup, security management, user account management, and managing e-mail systems, internet access, office systems, and applications support. You will be responsible for deploying hardware and software to optimize resource allocation and implementing migration to the cloud from on-premises systems. Furthermore, you will be required to provide network, security, architectural design, engineering, implementation, sustainment, migration, technical refresh, and lifecycle services for the data center and cloud enterprise infrastructure. It will be essential to ensure that all software and firmware on network and systems hardware are kept up to date with vendor supportable code versions. Your role will also involve advising on security policies and best practices, advocating for security considerations in technology implementations, and implementing security frameworks within the organization. A strong understanding of networking, routing protocols, structured cabling, and operating systems such as Windows, AIX, and Mac OS will be necessary. Additionally, you will need to identify and evaluate new products and solutions, have experience in IT service delivery, hold an ITIL certification, and possess knowledge of IT audit standards and methodologies.
