IT Assistant

As an IT Assistant at our school in Lucknow, you will play a crucial role in supporting the IT department to ensure smooth functioning of hardware, software, and network systems. Your responsibilities will include: - Troubleshooting computer and network issues for students, teachers, and staff, covering hardware malfunctions, software errors, and internet connectivity problems. - Assisting in the installation and updating of software on various devices to ensure they are running on the latest operating systems and applications. - Setting up and maintaining classroom technology equipment such as computers, projectors, and printers, as well as providing repair and maintenance services when required. - Managing the school's network by resolving connection issues, monitoring performance, and supporting Wi-Fi access throughout the campus. - Helping teachers incorporate technology into their lessons by providing equipment setup and basic guidance on educational software usage. - Ensuring secure backups and managing digital data in compliance with school policies, including student and staff information. - Providing basic IT training and support to students and staff to enhance their understanding and effective use of technology. - Maintaining accurate records of IT equipment, support tickets, software installations, and other IT-related tasks. - Collaborating with other IT staff to address larger technical issues and contribute to major IT projects like network upgrades or technology implementations. Key Qualifications: - Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and maintaining hardware, software, and networks. - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely. - Organizational skills for inventory management, documentation, and multitasking. - Customer service orientation to address user issues and inquiries. - Adaptability to new technologies and evolving IT trends. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science, or equivalent (BCA, MCA, B.Tech, BSc. IT, etc.) OR - Bachelors degree in any stream with a minimum 1-year computer diploma/degree from a recognized institution. Experience: - Work experience is preferred, but freshers are also encouraged to apply.
