Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and monitor all network, security, and computer systems to meet the organization's current and future requirements.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components (servers, desktops, laptops, printers, etc.).
  • Administer user accounts, permissions, email systems, and access controls (e.g., Active Directory, Office 365).
  • Perform regular backups, data recovery operations, and system updates.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively address issues related to performance, security, or reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and IT standards.
  • Provide technical support to staff and troubleshoot IT issues in person, remotely, or via phone.
  • Manage IT inventory, procurement, and vendor relationships.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of IT systems, procedures, and configurations.
  • Collaborate with external vendors and consultants as needed for specialized projects or support.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in IT administration or support.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux server administration.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN).
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Office 365, and Group Policy.
  • Working knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Proficiency with helpdesk/ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Team player with a customer-oriented mindset.
