Role Summary

Medical Coder – IPDRG

Key Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient DRG coding in line with ICD-10-CM and PCS standards
• Validate assigned DRGs and ensure alignment with CMS and AHA coding guidelines
• Meet defined quality benchmarks and productivity targets
• Work collaboratively with internal QA teams and client-side stakeholders
• Stay current with evolving industry regulations and coding updates

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IPDRG coding
• Strong command of inpatient coding, DRG assignment, and clinical documentation
• Preferred certification: AHIMA (CCS) or AAPC credentials
• Familiarity with US healthcare coding systems and workflows
• Good analytical and communication skills
