- Develop and optimize edge applications using Python and C/C++.
- Integrate and maintain Docker containers for edge deployments.
- Manage data streaming and processing using Kafka.
- Implement and optimize communication with time series databases (e.g., InfluxDB, TimescaleDB).
- Integrate and interface with industrial automation systems and PLCs using protocols such as PROFINET, Modbus, OPC UA, Ethernet/IP, and similar profiles.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications for performance and reliability.
- Proficient in Python and C/C++ development.
- Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming.
- Strong knowledge of time series databases.
- Familiarity with industrial automation protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Experience with edge computing frameworks and deployments (Azure IoT Edge, AWS IoT Greengrass, or similar).
- Background in industrial IoT, manufacturing automation, or related domains.
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity considerations for edge and industrial environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of relevant software development experience.
