Job Description: As a candidate for this opportunity with Medblocks, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing sophisticated iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI that handle real-time AI inference with sub-second response times. You will also be tasked with building and optimizing Large Language Model implementations for on-device inference, including model quantization, memory management, and context engineering. Designing AI-driven workflows that integrate seamlessly with healthcare protocols using emerging standards like Model Context Protocol (MCP) and agent-to-agent communication (A2A, ACP) will be a crucial part of your role. Additionally, you will implement advanced iOS frameworks including AVFoundation for real-time audio processing, Core ML for machine learning, Combine for reactive programming, and HealthKit for clinical data integration. Creating robust offline-first architectures that maintain AI functionality even in low-connectivity clinical environments and building secure, HIPAA-compliant data handling systems with end-to-end encryption and advanced access controls are also key responsibilities. You will establish mobile CI/CD practices, including automated testing frameworks, performance benchmarking, and zero-downtime deployment strategies. Leveraging AI-assisted development tools extensively to accelerate development cycles and maintain high code quality, designing data synchronization patterns that map between local AI models and cloud-based healthcare systems, and documenting complex AI workflows and system architectures are essential tasks as well. Qualifications Required: - 1-3 years of production iOS development experience, with demonstrated experience in AI/ML integration - Proven experience building complex iOS applications that have scaled in production with real users - Deep iOS expertise, including: - Advanced Swift programming and iOS SDK mastery - SwiftUI and declarative UI patterns - Core ML for on-device machine learning - Combine framework for reactive programming - AVFoundation for real-time media processing - Performance profiling and memory optimization - Experience with Large Language Models beyond API calls, including local inference, prompt engineering, and model optimization - Extensive hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, etc.) and proven ability to leverage them for 2-3x productivity gains - Strong computer science fundamentals, including: - Algorithm design and complexity analysis - Data structures and system architecture - Concurrent programming and async patterns - Security principles and cryptography - Experience with mobile DevOps, including: - iOS deployment pipelines and TestFlight automation - Fastlane and CI/CD implementation - App Store optimization and release management - Track record of working in high-autonomy environments where you owned technical decisions from conception to production Additional Details of the Company: Uplers aims to make hiring reliable, simple, and fast for all talents seeking relevant contractual onsite opportunities to progress in their careers.
