Inventory Analyst & Buyer

Role Overview: FTC Solar is a fast-growing, global provider of solar tracker systems, technology, software, and engineering services. As a Buyer at FTC Solar, you will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process for materials, ensuring on-time delivery, building strong vendor relationships, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. You will collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to support organizational goals. Key Responsibilities: - Procurement Management: - Process purchase orders accurately and timely - Ensure on-time production and monitor delivery timelines - Coordinate with logistics for shipment pick up and sailing connections - Vendor Relations: - Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors - Monitor supplier performance and ensure quality standards compliance - Inventory Management: - Monitor inventory levels and minimize excess stock - Manage 3rd party warehouse service providers - Handle stock allocations in ERP and inventory liquidation - Quality Assurance: - Ensure procured materials meet quality standards - Collaborate with quality control team to address issues - Cost Control: - Identify cost-saving opportunities - Implement cost-saving initiatives with cross-functional teams - Cross-functional Collaboration: - Collaborate with internal departments to meet procurement needs - Reporting and Documentation: - Prepare and present procurement reports to management - Highlight performance metrics, savings, and areas for improvement Qualifications & Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred - 4 to 10 years of procurement experience, preferably in Solar, Automotive, EMS, or manufacturing industries - Strong knowledge of solar tracker components or steel highly desirable - Familiarity with ERP tools and MRP process - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Certification in Lean Six Sigma is an added advantage (Note: No additional details of the company are present in the JD),
