Key Responsibilities: - Perform technical aspects of software development for assigned applications, including designing, developing prototypes, and coding assignments - Debug software components, identify code defects, and remediate them - Explore and innovate new solutions to modernize platforms Preferred Qualifications: - 1+ years of software development experience in a professional environment or equivalent - Proficiency in Java/J2EE, RESTful API development, Spring Boot, Microservices, and BPM Tool (Pega, JBPM, Camunda, etc.) - Hands-on expertise in application design, software development, and automated testing - Experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing - Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment tools (Jenkins, Maven, XLR, Mockito, SOAPUI, JMeter, OpenShift, Public Cloud - AWS/GCP/Azure, Docker) - Effective communication skills to engage with internal and external business partners on architecture and solution design - Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field, advanced degree preferred - Added advantage with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks React, and NodeJS - Java Certified professional Minimum Qualifications: - Collaborate with leadership across multiple teams to define solution requirements and technical implementation in Engineering & Architecture - Demonstrate technical expertise to assist team members in overcoming technical challenges - Solve technical problems beyond day-to-day responsibilities At American Express, we prioritize the well-being of our employees and their loved ones by offering benefits and programs that support their holistic health through all stages of life.
