Job Title: NLP Engineer – Intern (6 Months)

Location: Vadodara / Remote
Duration: 6 Months (Full-time Internship)
Stipend: Based on performance and experience
Department: Artificial Intelligence / NLP Team

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic NLP Engineer Intern who is passionate about working on real-world Natural Language Processing (NLP) problems. You will collaborate with our NLP team to build, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for text-based applications such as classification, summarization, entity recognition, and chatbots.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in data preprocessing, text cleaning, and annotation for NLP datasets.
• Implement and experiment with machine learning and deep learning models for various NLP tasks.
• Work with libraries such as NLTK, spaCy, Transformers (Hugging Face), scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Support ongoing projects involving text classification, sentiment analysis, NER, topic modeling, document similarity, and chatbot development.
• Perform model evaluation, tuning, and documentation of experiments.
• Collaborate with senior NLP engineers and data scientists on research and prototype development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and Python programming.
• Familiarity with NLP libraries (e.g., spaCy, NLTK, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers).
• Basic understanding of deep learning concepts (CNN, RNN, LSTM, BERT).
• Good problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have

• Experience working on NLP or ML projects (academic or personal).
• Knowledge of vectorization techniques such as TF-IDF, Word2Vec, or BERT embeddings.
• Exposure to API development or deployment frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, Flask).
