Intern/Jr. Paginator - InDesign

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic InDesign Intern to join our dynamic publishing team. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in working with Adobe InDesign and other Adobe Creative Suite applications to assist in the creation and formatting of book layouts, journals, and magazines. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced designers and contribute to exciting projects in a collaborative environment. If you are passionate about design and eager to learn, this internship will provide you with invaluable exposure to the world of publishing and layout design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior design team in the creation and formatting of layouts for books, journals, and magazines using Adobe InDesign.
• Support in formatting and typesetting manuscripts, including Fiction, Non-Fiction, and K-12 content.
• Work with provided templates to ensure consistency across projects and adhere to established design guidelines.
• Assist in making design changes based on feedback from editors and design team members.
• Collaborate with the editorial and design teams to meet project requirements and deadlines.
• Perform basic quality checks on paginated materials to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Learn and apply industry-standard design and typography principles under the guidance of senior designers.
• Prepare files for print production, ensuring they meet the necessary specifications.
• Stay updated on current design trends, tools, and best practices related to pagination and publishing.

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat).
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of design and pagination.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating visually appealing layouts.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to take feedback and work collaboratively.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be based in Bangalore.

Internship Details:

• Duration: 3 months (Paid Internship).
• Post-Internship: Performance-based employment confirmation.
