Role & responsibilities Patodia Overseas Exports LLP is seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Business Development Manager to drive the growth of our knitted fabric exports. This role requires a proven track record of directly engaging with international end buyers (customers) in the knitted textile fabric industry. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong independent research, relationship-building, and negotiation skills, focused on achieving and exceeding export sales targets for our knitted fabric offerings. Staying updated on international market trends and regulations specific to knitted fabrics is crucial. Key Responsibilities: Identify and Capitalize on New Business Opportunities: Conduct independent research to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the international knitted fabric sector, focusing on direct engagement with end buyers. Develop and Implement Export Sales Strategies (Knitted Fabrics): Develop and implement effective sales strategies specifically tailored to achieve export targets for Patodia's range of knitted fabrics . Cultivate and Nurture Client Relationships (Knitted Fabrics): Cultivate and nurture strong, long-term relationships with international clients who directly purchase knitted fabrics for their manufacturing or other business needs. Negotiate Contracts and Pricing (Knitted Fabrics): Independently negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with international clients for knitted fabric sales, ensuring maximum profitability while maintaining strong client relationships. Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with the internal merchandising, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless order execution, adherence to quality standards, and timely delivery of knitted fabric orders to international clients. Stay Abreast of Market Trends and Regulations (Knitted Fabrics): Continuously monitor international market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes specifically related to the knitted fabric industry. Address and Resolve Sales-Related Issues (Knitted Fabrics): Promptly address and resolve any sales-related issues, queries, or disputes arising from international knitted fabric clients. Achieve and Exceed Sales Targets (Knitted Fabrics): Be responsible for achieving and exceeding assigned export sales targets for knitted fabrics . Market Analysis and Reporting (Knitted Fabrics): Conduct market analysis to identify potential new markets and opportunities for knitted fabric exports and provide regular sales reports and forecasts. Preferred candidate profile Key Requirements: Experience: 5-10 years of proven experience in international business development and direct sales, specifically within the knitted textile fabric industry, with a strong track record of engaging directly with end buyers in international markets. Export Sales Expertise (Knitted Fabrics): Demonstrated experience in handling end-to-end export sales processes for knitted fabrics , including market research, lead generation, negotiation, documentation, and logistics understanding. Experience in LATAM markets is a plus. Understanding of Knitted Fabrics: Strong technical understanding of different types of knitted fabrics , their manufacturing processes, applications, and quality standards. Negotiation and Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication (both written and verbal), and influencing skills, with the ability to effectively interact with international clients across different cultures. Independent Work Ethic: Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive results with minimal supervision. Goal-Oriented and Driven: Highly motivated, results-oriented, and driven to achieve and exceed sales targets for knitted fabric exports. Relationship Building: Strong ability to build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with international clients. Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to interface effectively with management at all levels and across diverse international cultures. Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis using Microsoft Excel for sales reporting and market analysis related to knitted fabrics . Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally as required to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and explore new markets for knitted fabrics . Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in other languages relevant to our target export markets for knitted fabrics is a significant advantage.
