Intern, User Research

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and conducting evaluative research (e.g., card sort, tree testing, usability, heuristics evaluations) and supporting generative research efforts for specified products or small program areas to build deep user understanding and empathy. You will also help teams cross-functionally by synthesizing and communicating the right information, defining and measuring success, and creating testable hypotheses using research findings to support, challenge, and innovate Cvent's product. Your expertise and knowledge of research methodologies, human factors, the user-centered design process, and statistics will be applied to product and service design in an iterative development environment. Additionally, you will work with various departments such as design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales to formulate and address research questions independently and collaboratively. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors and/or masters degree in the study of user experience, design, research, business, or related fields (e.g., Information Design, Human Factors/HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Sciences) OR alternative equivalent project/portfolio experience - Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices - Knowledge of the hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software is a plus - Experience with quantitative survey programming and analysis, UX Research for Meeting/Event Planners, Attendees software, UX Research for Mobile app or web development, managing and recruiting a usability lab, developing and executing research in support of product globalization, and establishing and/or managing product/software baseline measurement system would be advantageous.
