Job Summary:
We are seeking an Intermediate Application Developer (IAD) to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of applications using Linux shell scripting, Java, R (for analytics), and/or Python programming. The role involves working with
data sourced from mainframe systems, delivered via
FTP and managed on a
Linux platform. Experience or familiarity with
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain applications and scripts in
Linux, Java, R, and Python.

Consume and manage
mainframe files delivered via
FTP to Linux systems.

Enhance and maintain existing applications, ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability.

Perform
unit testing,
system integration testing, and
user acceptance testing.

Validate data integrity between test and production environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.

Participate in code reviews and support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and new technologies.

Document technical specifications, processes, and system configurations.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience in application development.

Proficient in
Linux shell scripting and one or more of the following
Java, R, Python.

Solid understanding of
data validation and transformation processes.

Experience with
file transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP) and handling large data files.

Familiarity with
software development lifecycle (SDLC) and
version control systems (e.g., Git).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with or knowledge of
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

Understanding of
mainframe data formats and job scheduling tools.

Exposure to
automated testing frameworks and
CI/CD pipelines.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
