Interface Specialist

You will be responsible for performing and facilitating research and testing, as well as providing overall project leadership to ensure interfaces conform to the HL7 standards. Additionally, you will be accountable for multiple implementations or conversion projects, participating in information gathering for interface requirements, and educating stakeholders to help them understand the benefits and limitations of their specific EMR/LIS-Interface during implementation. You will also be expected to provide direct interaction with clients and clients" vendors, design and oversee interface implementation project plans, and provide project status updates. Communication tasks such as go-live notices, support documentation, and operational checklists to the internal organization relative to any new or changes to existing client interfaces will fall under your responsibilities. Implementation of communication scripts and protocols including dial-up, VPN, frame, and web services, as well as providing 3rd tier support to EMR/LIS-Interface related problems, will also be part of your duties. Post-implementation support and escalation of implementation and support issues to appropriate individuals or groups for resolution are key aspects of this role. You will be required to coordinate user-group sessions with EMR/LIS-Interfaced clients and internal staff to facilitate the exchange of ideas for improving service delivery. Meeting productivity requirements for this position is essential.
