Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat severe, life-threatening conditions in the ICU.

Team Leadership:
Lead and coordinate with nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists.

Procedural Skills:
Perform advanced procedures like inserting arterial lines, central lines, managing ventilators, and bronchoscopies.

Treatment Management:
Develop and implement complex treatment plans, including medication and advanced life support.

Monitoring Documentation:
Continuously monitor vital signs and ensure thorough clinical documentation.

Family Communication:
Counsel patients families on treatment, prognosis, and ethical decisions, including end-of-life care.

Emergency Response:
Attend to medical emergencies and manage crises within the ICU.
