The Inhouse Insurance Specialist will be responsible for managing and administering employee insurance programs, including health, life, accident, and any other policies.
This role involves liaising with insurance providers, resolving employee queries, ensuring timely enrollment and claims processing, maintaining compliance with regulatory and company standards and provisioning timely MIS. This is a position to manage the entire Group, both India & Rest of the World.
Insurance Program Management Administer group insurance policies (health, life, accident, etc.) for employees. Coordinate with insurance vendors for policy renewals, additions, deletions, and endorsements. Ensure timely enrollment of new employees and removal of exited employees from insurance coverage. Employee Support & Communication Act as the primary point of contact for employee insurance-related queries.
Educate employees on insurance benefits, coverage, claims process, and grievance redressal.
Conduct periodic awareness sessions and circulate insurance-related communication. Claims Administration Facilitate and track insurance claims (hospitalization, death, accident, etc.).
Liaise with TPA (Third Party Administrators) and insurers to resolve claim issues. Maintain records of claims and ensure timely closure and documentation.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management Manage relationships with insurance providers and TPAs.
Negotiate terms and premiums in collaboration with procurement and finance teams. Monitor service levels and escalate issues as needed. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with statutory requirements related to employee insurance.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date insurance records and reports.
Support internal and external audits related to insurance.
Process Improvement & Reporting Identify opportunities to streamline insurance processes and improve employee experience.
Generate periodic reports on insurance utilization, claims ratio, and cost analysis.
Collaborate with HRIS/Payroll teams for data integration and accuracy. An expert who can work with integrity, maintain confidentiality and has empathetic employee first mindset for this role.
