As a Java Developer for the Insurance Platform at EY, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future by building a better working world. Your responsibilities and qualifications include: **Key Responsibilities:** - BE / B.Tech / MCA / ME / M.Tech with 2 years of Java Development experience - Hands-on experience in JEE 8/9 - Strong hands-on experience and knowledge in Core Java - Hands-on experience in webservices, Rest API, collections, and batches - Strong experience of data structure, design patterns, and algorithms - Good experience in databases SQL/PL SQL - Experience in backend testing using Junit/Mockito - Experience in working in an Agile environment and a good understanding of Agile processes - Must have experience in understanding and using best practices guidelines and coding standards to maintain the health of the code base and reduce technical debt - Must have experience in reviewing code (peer reviews) and providing constructive comments aligning to the Industry-wide best practices and coding standards - Must have experience in working in engagements spread across multiple time zones and across multiple geographies - Must have experience of working in small pods/teams and working collectively to achieve a positive group outcome - Experience in usage of code versioning tools like SVN/Git - Experience in establishing and maintaining communication channels to Team Leads and client teams to pass on information like status, issues, risks, and concerns - Should have had direct client experience, including working with client teams in an on-site and/or offshore mode **Qualifications:** - Education: Bachelor or college degree in a related field or equivalent work experience **Additional Details about EY:** EY is dedicated to building a better working world by creating new value for clients, people, society, and the planet, while building trust in capital markets.
