Instrumentation Designer

Job Description

Job Title : Instrumentation Designer Industry : Oil and Gas Experience : 1-5 years Location : Navi Mumbai Education : Instrumentation Diploma/Degree Responsibilities : Design and develop instrumentation layouts and control systems for oil and gas projects. Prepare and review detailed instrument design documents such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and datasheets. Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure all instrumentation systems meet project requirements. Support procurement and installation teams in the selection, specification, and installation of instruments and control systems. Participate in the design review process to ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations. Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and progress reports. Ensure the effective integration of instrumentation systems with other systems on the project. Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving during installation and commissioning phases. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for project records. Requirements : Education : Diploma/Degree in Instrumentation Engineering or a related field. Experience : 1-5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation design, preferably in the oil and gas industry. Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation, or similar tools). Strong knowledge of instrumentation systems, including control systems, sensors, transmitters, actuators, etc. Understanding of P&IDs, electrical schematics, and other instrumentation design documents.
