Instrument Engineer

As an Instrument Engineer in the Agrochemical/Chemical industry based in Navi Mumbai, you will be responsible for various aspects of the project related to field instruments. Your primary tasks will include the preparation of datasheets, specifications, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations. You will also be involved in reviewing vendor documents and sizing and selecting different types of field instruments such as Pressure Transmitters (PT), Flow Meters, Control Valves (CV), Pressure Reducing Stations (PRS), and Safety Valves (SV). Furthermore, you will be expected to contribute to the preparation of engineering deliverables as part of the project. This will involve creating Instrument Index, IO lists, Nest loading, JB Schedules, JB Drawings, Process Hookups, Pneumatic Hookups, Loop Diagrams, Cable schedules, MTO, Instrument Location Layouts, Instrument Cable Schedules, Cable and Tray Routing, Cable laying, Cable Termination, IS calculations, and Drive interface drawings. You will also be responsible for logic development based on Cause and Effect diagrams, Single Line Diagrams (SLD) as per Load List & overall SLD. To excel in this role, you must have a strong knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as ISA, IEC, and API. In terms of software skills, proficiency in Basic AutoCAD 2D and Microsoft Word and Excel is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Smart Plant Instrumentation Tools SPI [INTOOLS] or AVEVA is required at an advanced level.
