Instructional Designer

As an Instructional Designer, you will play a crucial role in developing visual and interactive content to enhance communication, education, and training. Your responsibilities will include: - Print Design for Books and Journals: - Create layouts, covers, and interior designs using typography, color theory, and spacing for readability and aesthetic appeal. - Collaborate with authors or editors to incorporate illustrations, charts, and infographics. - Training Video Design: - Develop storyboards, animations, and motion graphics to visualize concepts. - Integrate visuals with narration, using tools for 2D/3D animation to make training modules interactive and engaging. - Audio Design and Packaging: - Design visual assets for audio content such as podcast artwork, waveform graphics, and promotional thumbnails. - Ensure audio-visual synchronization, including subtitles or overlays. - Manual and Instructional Material Design: - Format user guides, technical manuals, and e-learning modules with clear hierarchies, icons, and diagrams. - Apply information design principles to simplify complex data while maintaining usability. - Overall Project Workflow: - Conduct user research and testing to refine designs for accessibility. - Export files in multiple formats and collaborate with developers or writers while maintaining brand consistency. You should possess technical skills in Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, and Adobe Captivate. Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, UX principles, and storytelling through visuals is essential. Soft skills like attention to detail, adaptability to feedback, and ability to work in cross-functional teams will be beneficial. Familiarity with tools like InDesign, After Effects, Audacity/Adobe Audition, and Figma is required. The typical work environment for this role includes creative studios, e-learning firms, or corporate Learning & Development teams.
