Injection Moulding Technician

We are seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Technician with hands-on experience in mould handling, basic sparking operations and machine maintenance. This is a shop-floor role intended for a technically proficient individual who can independently manage mould modifications and support efficient moulding operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate injection moulding machines when possible.
• Assist in new product and mould development, providing input on design, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing the full development cycle.
• Support machine modernisation initiatives by implementing structured processes, improving systemisation, and introducing automation to enhance efficiency.
• Lead and coordinate a small operational team, working closely with the Production Team to plan daily workflows, allocate tasks, manage priorities, monitor performance, and ensure timely, accurate output aligned with the production schedule.
• Perform routine and minor machine maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Manage mould changeovers and machine setups, including tooling preparation, mould installation and alignment, parameter adjustments, and pre-production quality checks.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and well-functioning work area, ensuring all tooling and equipment meet safety, housekeeping, and quality standards.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years

   of relevant, hands-on experience in 

  injection moulding and preferably sparking (EDM)

  .
• Familiar with mould mechanics, spark erosion tools, and basic workshop equipment.
• Skilled in identifying tooling-related issues and carrying out corrective actions.
• Comfortable working in a factory environment with 

  12-hour day shifts.
